ada-instruments-ada-tape-measure
ADA Tape Measure

The ADA tape measure is a 5 metre, 25 mm wide steel tape in a shock-resistant rubber housing, the one to keep on the belt for setting out tiles and checking cuts. ADA Instruments sells it as the RubTape: the ribbed rubber shell takes the drops and knocks of site work, the wide blade stands out further without folding, and the easy-read markings are clear even in a dim bathroom.

Use it for

Setting out tile layouts and marking cuts

General measuring on site and at home

Features

Easy-read tape

Shock-resistant rubber outer

Blade lock on the front of the case

Belt clip

Specifications

Brand: ADA Instruments

Blade: 25 mm x 5 m

Model: ADA-TM5 (ADA RubTape 5)

Good to know

Also made in 8 m (ADA-TM8) and 10 m (ADA-TM10) lengths; the longer tapes are the better choice for setting out floors

Let the blade retract slowly against your hand; snapping it home is what breaks the hook rivets on any tape
