Float is a rectangular polyurethane rendering float in five sizes, from 240 x 120 mm for patching up to 420 x 220 mm for big walls. Polyurethane is lighter than timber or steel and does not soak up water, so the float stays the same weight all day and does not warp. It leaves a smooth, even finish on render and screed.

Use it for

Rubbing up render on walls and hobs

Closing and smoothing sand and cement screed

Floating levelling and bedding mortar before tiling

Features

Extremely lightweight and durable polyurethane construction

For smooth finishing of rendered surfaces

Five sizes to suit the job and the hand

Specifications

240 x 120 mm (PUF-2412)

280 x 140 mm (PUF-2814)

320 x 180 mm (PUF-3218)

360 x 200 mm (PUF-3620)

420 x 220 mm (PUF-4222)

Good to know

Let the render stiffen before floating; too early and it drags, too late and it will not close

Work in overlapping circles with light pressure

Hose the float off before the mix sets on the face

A pointed version and a Dutch oblong version are also made for corners and detail work
