The BAT Pro 12 mm Square Notch Trowel lays the thick, even adhesive bed that large format floor and wall tiles need. Square notches comb full ribs that collapse evenly under the tile, pushing air out and lifting adhesive coverage, which is where most bond failures start.
Use it for
- Large format porcelain and stone on floors and walls
- Uneven substrates that need more adhesive depth
- Back buttering heavy tiles
Features
- 12 mm square notch
- Soft grip handle for long stretches of combing
- Part of the BAT Pro trowel range, which runs from 4 mm to 15 mm notches
Specifications
- Notch: 12 mm square
- Handle: soft grip
Good to know
- Match the notch to the adhesive data sheet and tile size; 12 mm is a common call for tiles 600 mm and larger
- Comb in one direction and lay the tile across the ribs so air can escape
- Wash the blade before adhesive sets so the notches stay true
