Maxisil Primer 1216 is a 250 ml surface primer that gives Maxisil silicone a stronger, longer lasting bond on metals such as chrome, stainless steel and anodised aluminium. Brush it on before sealing and the sealant grips surfaces it would otherwise struggle on.
Use it for
- With Maxisil Wet Area on anodised aluminium, chrome and wood
- With Maxisil Natural Stone on artificial stone, chrome and stainless steel
- With Maxisil Pool on stainless steel, aluminium and anodised aluminium
Features
- Improves sealant adhesion and durability on hard to bond surfaces
- Part of the Maxisil cleaner, primer and sealant system
Specifications
- Size: 250 ml
- Model: RDX2014
Good to know
- Clean the surface first: Maxisil Cleaner on non-porous surfaces, a wire brush on porous ones
- Maxisil data sheets say to let primer dry for about 2 hours before applying sealant
- Match the primer number to the surface. Maxisil publishes three primers (1215, 1216 and 1217) for different substrates
