Maxisil Primer 1217 is a 250 ml surface primer that gives Maxisil silicone a stronger, longer lasting bond on PVC, fibreglass and other plastics. Brush it on before sealing and the sealant grips surfaces it would otherwise struggle on.
Use it for
- With Maxisil Wet Area on PVC
- With Maxisil Natural Stone on PVC, fluorocarbons and aluminium
- With Maxisil Pool on PVC, fibreglass and polyester

Good to know
- Clean the surface first: Maxisil Cleaner on non-porous surfaces, a wire brush on porous ones
- Maxisil data sheets say to let primer dry for about 2 hours before applying sealant
- Match the primer number to the surface. Maxisil publishes three primers (1215, 1216 and 1217) for different substrates

How much tile should I order?
Measure the area in square metres and add 10% for cuts and breakages (15–20% for herringbone or diagonal layouts). Every tile page has a calculator that sets the quantity for you.
Can I pick up my order?
Yes. Choose pickup at checkout. Wait until we tell you your order is ready, then book a pickup time and bring your order number.
Can I return something?
Change-of-mind returns are accepted within 30 days for unused products in original packaging. A 15% restocking fee applies. Faulty or damaged items are covered under the Australian Consumer Law. See our Refund Policy.
