The BAT Aluminium Straight Edge is the heavy duty option: a 22 x 100 mm section in hard wearing matt silver anodised aluminium, wider, thicker and stiffer than the 70 x 20 mm BAT-SE72 rule. The extra stiffness is what you want for checking long floors and screeds, where a light rule can flex and lie to you. Seven lengths up to 4 m.
Use it for
- Checking screeds, slabs and large format tile floors for flatness
- Marking and setting out long lines
- Ruling off levelling compound and bedding
Features
- Matt silver anodised finish that resists scratches and adhesive
- Wider, thicker and sturdier than the BAT-SE72 straight edge
- Seven lengths
Specifications
- Section: 22 x 100 mm
- Lengths: 1500, 1800, 2100, 2400, 2700, 3000 and 4000 mm
- Models: BSE-1500, BSE-1800, BSE-2100, BSE-2400, BSE-2700, BSE-3000, BSE-4000
Good to know
- Set the edge on the floor and look for daylight under it; a 2 m length is the usual check for a tiled floor
- Store it flat or hung so it stays true
- Clean adhesive off before it sets
