NICLIS Waterproofing Bandage is a reinforcing tape that is bedded into liquid waterproofing membrane over the joints most likely to crack: wall to floor junctions, internal corners and sheet joins in showers and wet areas. It bridges movement in the substrate so the membrane stays sealed where it is thinnest.
Use it for
- Wall to floor and wall to wall junctions in showers, bathrooms and laundries
- Joins between sheet linings and around hobs and set-downs
- Balconies and other wet areas before tiling
Specifications
- 100 mm x 100 m roll (WPB100)
- 200 mm x 100 m roll (WPB200)
- 200 mm x 50 m roll (WPB200-50)
Good to know
- Bed the bandage into the first wet coat of membrane, centred on the joint, and cover it fully with the second coat.
- Use the 200 mm width where the junction is uneven or the membrane maker calls for wider coverage.
- Check your membrane's data sheet for compatibility with fabric reinforcement.
- Store the roll dry and clean. Dust on the tape stops the membrane bonding.
