The Raimondi Kompass scores large circles in large format porcelain using the same score and snap method as the Raizor. A suction cup holds the centre to the slab, the arm swings a diamond scoring wheel around it, and a ruler on the arm reads off the diameter. It is how you cut a clean round hole for a floor waste, column or basin in a 3 metre slab on site.
Use it for
- Round holes for columns, drains and pedestals in large format tiles
- Semicircles and quarter circles to round off a slab corner
Specifications
- Centred holes: 22 to 100 cm diameter
- Off centre holes: 32 to 100 cm diameter
- 16 mm diamond scoring wheel with pin and bearings
- Metric and imperial ruler with pointer
- Weight: about 1.2 kg
- Model: 433KOMP 50
Good to know
- After scoring the circle, finish the cut by removing wedges with an angle grinder, then clean up the small tabs left behind.
- Wipe the slab before you set the suction cup so it holds through the whole score.
- Score in one steady pass. Going back over the line chips the glaze.
